The Act on Energy Services and Other Energy Efficiency Measures (Gesetz über Energiedienstleistungen und andere Energieeffizienzmaßnahmen; EDL-G) is intended to ensure lower primary energy consumption and thus support climate protection. It goes back to an EU directive and is aimed primarily at companies. Among other things, the law obliges larger companies to have their energy consumption checked regularly.
Relevance for energy communities: This law is only relevant for organisations which are no small and medium-sized enterprises (this larger organisations) to have their energy consumption checked by accredited experts at least every four years. Therefore, this law is for most energy communities not relevant.
